Repair, resurface or rebuild?

If the base is sound, we grind the old face clean, apply a bonding agent and trowel on a cement-based overlay that cures into a tough new wearing surface. Wide cracks, sinking toward the house or crumbling edges are a different story. Those point to base failure, and the honest fix is a rebuild.
