Serving Brampton
Parging cracking or falling off your Brampton foundation? We repair and recoat walls across the city, with free same-day quotes and a 5-year workmanship warranty.
Brampton grew fast, and the housing stock shows it. Older homes near the downtown core and along Main Street, the 1970s and 1980s subdivisions of Bramalea and Heart Lake, and wave after wave of 1990s and 2000s builds through Springdale, Mount Pleasant and Castlemore. Whatever the vintage, every house shares one exposed weak spot: the strip of foundation between the grade and the brick. That parge coat takes the worst of every winter, and eventually it starts to crack, bubble or drop off in pieces.
That is what we fix. Toronto Parging & Concrete handles parging in Brampton week in, week out. We repair and recoat foundations, patch spalled walls and leave the base of your house looking sharp again. Quotes are free, most go out the same day, and every job is covered by our 5-year workmanship warranty.
Most of the calls we get from Brampton fall into a few buckets:
Parging is the bulk of what we do, and concrete comes second. If your walkway has settled or your front steps are crumbling, we can handle that on the same visit. Plenty of Brampton customers bundle a parging job with new concrete and knock both off in one go.
A big share of Brampton's homes went up during the rapid growth years of the 1990s and 2000s. Many of them left the builder with a thin, quick parge coat that was never meant to last. Fifteen or twenty winters later, that coating is well past its limit. Peel's heavy clay soil adds to the problem: clay swells when wet and shrinks when dry, and that constant movement at the base of the wall opens the first cracks. From there the freeze-thaw cycle does the rest. Water works in behind the coat, freezes, expands and pops it off in sheets.
Older homes tell a different story. Houses around the downtown core and in the earlier Bramalea subdivisions often have block foundations with parge that has been patched over more than once, layer on layer, until the whole surface sounds hollow. Either way, the fix is the same discipline. We remove anything loose or hollow, prep the surface, apply a bonding agent, then trowel on a cement-based parge coat built to handle our winters. Done properly, it protects the foundation instead of just dressing it up.
Catch it early and a repair is quick and straightforward. Leave it and the damage spreads, water reaches the concrete itself, and winter widens every gap it finds. If you can see bare foundation, bubbling or white staining at the base of your wall, it is time to have someone look at it.
No pressure, no surprises. We treat your home like our own, we show up when we say we will, and we leave the site clean when we go. That approach has earned us a 5.0 rating on Google, and we work hard to keep it.
We cover the whole city, from Bramalea in the east to Mount Pleasant in the northwest, and we also serve neighbouring Mississauga and Vaughan. Same crew, same warranty, wherever you are in Peel.
